Your feet contain 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments—complex structures that deserve attention. Healthy feet are the literal foundation of physical mobility and independence, particularly as we age. When foot problems develop, they can drastically limit daily activities and reduce quality of life.

Diabetic Foot Care

People with diabetes need extra vigilance due to reduced sensation (neuropathy) and compromised circulation. Daily foot inspection, meticulous hygiene, moisture management, and immediate attention to any wounds are critical. Professional foot exams should occur at least annually, with more frequent checks for those with neuropathy or previous foot problems.

Aging Adults Foot

As we age, foot problems become more common due to natural changes in foot structure, thinning fat pads, and reduced flexibility. Regular moisturizing becomes more important for aging skin, and footwear may need adjustment to accommodate widening feet or developing deformities like bunions.

Children Foot Care

Proper foot care in childhood sets the foundation for lifelong foot health. Children's feet grow rapidly and need appropriately sized shoes that allow for proper development. Parents should check children's feet regularly and address concerns like in-toeing, flat feet, or toe walking with healthcare providers.

Why Foot Ankle Foundation...

India has emerged sharply in world-class Healthcare services particularly during Covid 19 pandemic. Given the right support from govt, it has proven its capabilities and the world is looking towards it with a hope. Whether its Indian Hospitals, pharmaceuticals, surgical or related industries, all have performed extraordinarily. However, when it comes to services to the differently abled population with mobility issues due to various foot-ankle disorders, it has a long way to go. Whether a person has foot drop, pronated foot, cavus foot, diabetic foot with wounds, foot with crush injuries, amputated foot /leg and so on, they have very limited and outdated options. The obvious reason to my understanding is lack of awareness among patients as well as healthcare practitioners. In post covid world, everyone understands the value of Good health .Foot-Ankle Health plays  a very important pivotal role in overall health of every individual as well as person with foot ankle disorders.Foot -Ankle Foundation is an effort  to increase awareness among common public as well as healthcare practitioners about various conservative treatment options to suit individual needs with most appropriate  outcome. This will be achieved by continuously upgrading knowledge, conducting research studies ,workshops and seminars regularly.
